Born and raised in Bakersfield, California, my passion for visual storytelling began at the age of ten when I discovered my sister's camcorder. What started as a childhood curiosity grew into a lifelong passion for photography, videography, and the art of bringing stories to life.

With 22 years of experience in television news, I've had the privilege of working in newsrooms across the country. I began my career at KERO 23 News, where I spent five years as an editor and photojournalist. From there, I moved to KGET before making my way to New Orleans, working at WGNO ABC 26 and ultimately spending more than 12 years at WVUE Fox 8 New Orleans, where I continued to learn, grow, and refine my craft.

Today, I serve as the Video and Photography Manager in Marketing for Audubon Nature Institute, where I create commercials, promotional content, and compelling stories that highlight animal conservation and the important work of protecting wildlife. It's an opportunity to combine my creative skills with a mission that makes a difference.

My experience extends beyond television news. I've worked on productions such as Food Paradise on the Travel Channel, serving as a photographer and running audio for interviews. I've operated robotic cameras for major comedy productions, filmed behind-the-scenes celebrity interviews at Essence Fest, and covered everything from conventions to festivals. I also have a passion for drone operation and am a FAA-certified drone pilot. My drone work was featured in the documentary Environmental Racism on Death Alley, Louisiana.

I love creating eye candy—visuals that capture attention, stir emotion, and leave a lasting impression. Whether I'm behind a camera, operating a drone, or finding the heart of a story, my goal is to create meaningful work that connects with people.

As an award-winning photojournalist, I've been honored with an Emmy Award in 2012 for the story "No White Flags," which told the story of Steve Gleason alongside Jennifer Hale and Edwin Goode. That same story also earned a Bronze Telly Award. Throughout my career, I've received numerous Press Club and Associated Press (AP) Awards.

Through every chapter of my journey, I strive to use my talents with purpose, creativity, and excellence—always keeping God first.
